The Family of the church of Christ in Rolling Fork extends an invitation for you to visit with us.
You and your family would certainly be our welcomed and honored guests. Our weekly meeting times are as follows:
SUNDAY
9:30 a.m. .......................................New Testament Bible Study
10:30 a.m. .....................................................Worship Service
1:00 p.m. ......................................................Evening Worship
WEDNESDAY
7:00 p.m. .......................................Old Testament Bible Study
You will find that we will study strictly from the Bible. Jesus tells us that we will be judged by every word that proceeds out of His mouth. Therefore, those are the words we should heed. Consider Matthew 4:4 and John 12: 47-48.
We are a New Testament church. Upon Christ’s death on the cross, those laws found in the Old Testament were abolished and Christ left a new law, the New Testament. Please refer to Hebrews 7:18-19; 8:6-13; 9:15; 10:1-12.
We do not consider ourselves a denomination. Denominations are divided and Christ’s body (His church) is not divided. Please refer to 1 Corinthians 1:10-13.
Upon the first day of every week, we participate in communion and contribute to the needs of the saints. See the examples found in Acts 20:7 and 1 Corinthians 16:2.
You will find that we sing accapella (that is without the use of mechanical instruments.) There is no example or command to sing and to “play” an instrument. There is only the command to sing. Please consider Colossians 3:16 and Ephesians 5:19.
You will find that the church, the body of Christ, enjoys local autonomy. It has only one head which is Christ Himself as we find in Ephesians 1:22-23.
You will enjoy the Good News of the Bible! Christ has not provided His invitation to a particular race, chosen individuals or select few. Everyone has the individual option of obeying or rejecting Christ. There is no partiality with God and it’s Christ desire that no one should perish. See Romans 2:11, Acts 10:34 and 2 Peter 3:9.
You will hear Bible teaching from Norman J. Maranto, our preacher.
