I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said,
It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35
For several years, Derrick Maranto, Associate Minister of the Amory Church of Christ, the youth group and several other volunteers have serverd their community of Amory with an outreach summer camp program. They choose several homes of individuals that meet certain criteria and do the most needed repair work, scrape and paint, general trim work and/or cleanup to the individuals property.
This year Derrik, youth groups from Amory, Christian Chapel and Zion Church of Christ, and several adults have choosen the town of Rolling Fork as their focus. They have selected several individuals to extend their "Labor of Love" to. They will begin their volunteer work in our community on June 30th and be here most of the week. We would like to let them know how much we appreciate their efforts and time they will be spending here with us.

Thanks! Such a small word with so much behind it!
We have had one of the busiest and best weeks of our lives.
Amory, Christian Chapel and Zion Rest Church of Christ youth groups…were on a mission this week and took on every challenge given them and then some.
Associate ministers for these groups Derrick Maranto, Chase Surrell and Craig Owen along with ten chaperones supervised and lead the great group of teens in many ways this week. The days were filled with scraping old paint, applying new paint, staining porches and numerous home repairs for several homeowners. The evenings were filled with fantastic devos, incredible singing, and fun activities.
You made a difference...your love for Christ was shining bright this week, not only did the family in Rolling Fork see your lights shining brightly, but the community did, as well.
We met most of you for the first time this week, but it truly feels like we have known you for much longer. Lifelong friendships and many memories have been made this week. We thank you for your hard work, wonderful enthusiam, and certainly the most important sharing your love for Christ in our community.
